Healing

In the Bible we read how Jesus told his followers to "heal the sick". (Luke chapter 10 verse 9).  At Aylsham Community Church we are still obedient to Jesus instruction to us and we regularly spend time praying for the sick.  Lew is a member at Aylsham Community Church and the following is his story of what happened when he was prayed for.

Lew says,

"About 4 years ago I had a back problem, which I believed was a re-occurrence of sciatica that I had suffered 8 years ago. On the recommendation of a friend I had a course of treatment with a chiropractor in North Walsham.  After about 10 visits the back pain had cleared up and I stopped seeing the chiropractor.

After the treatment I was left with severe pain in my left knee.  On Sunday 9th March, 2014 at Aylsham Community Church, Simon, one of the church leaders,  had a word of knowledge about pain in a left knee to which I responded. A member of the church, who prayed for me said as he was praying that he really did not know what to pray, but he carried on. When he had finished, I thanked him for the prayer and returned to my seat. At that time I did not feel any different, but later in the day I realised that my knee was better.  It was then that I knew this was a healing from God.

As I started writing this I realised that this was more significant, because the problem with the knee had started in 1997.

The pain first occurred in 1997, and I was sent for an x-ray of my knee because the doctor suspected I might have osteoarthritis. Nothing was shown by the x-ray and I carried on with various degrees of pain (from a dull ache to an acute stabbing pain) until 9th March, 2014.

Since I received this prayer my knee has felt good again. Also my left hand, which had virtually no grip, is now working OK. A number of other joints, which have been stiff all this time, have also been freed."

If you are in need of healing then come and visit us at Aylsham Community Church.  We would love to pray with you.
